hi!
recently, i was posted in the labour room..so, here's my stories.
before this year, to me, newborn babies looked like monkeys. eventhough i LOVE babies, they looked like monkeys..there was no cute newborn babies in this world. i didn't understand why are people melting over the 'cuteness' of the newborn.
but when i entered the labour room for the 1st time this year, all of the babies are cute!! i feel like biting their faces!! and suddenly, i remembered my opinion before..where are all the monkeys?? i don't see any monkey...it's magical that my opinion can change dramatically. i think, this is what we called aging process.
the next story, this is from my observation.
at first, the ladies that are about to give birth, they are cool when they are alone in the labour room. they're just groaning and frowning..but they are cool..BUT when their husbands enter the room, they start to cry, complaining...and start all the 'manja-manja' mode. hey, i have no problem with their manja-manja mode but PLEASE SAVE IT LATER AFTER THE BABY IS BORN!!!! its like, at first, they are pushing with great effort. and RIGHT after seeing the husband entering the room, suddenly they stop pushing and saying "i can't push anymore. i'm tired..."....and cause the baby distress, come out blue, not breathing, not crying..AND ALMOST DIED!!! as a person who likes babies, i'm very very angry with this attitude. at first, i thought that maybe i'm wrong to think like this. maybe i don't understand the situation because i am not married, i never gave birth..so, i just kept this thought to myself. then, earlier today, i had a chat with one of my friends. and suddenly she said the same thing about the manja-manja mode from her observation without i mentioned about the topic. so, i'm not wrong about this!
yesterday, there was a couple from Kosovo came to labour room. the husband was very concern, showed the greatest support to wife. kept calling the medical students, nurses and doctors to ask questions. and...kept faning the wife for hours..... I NEVER SAW MALAYSIAN HUSBAND THIS CARING. 1)is it cultural difference makes the this Kosovan husband and Malaysian husbands treat their wife differently? or 2)is it just because only HE is the one and only different man from other men species that i saw in 2011 and 2013 in labour room?well, i don't know. if the answer is 1), i said to my friend, i'll marry a Kosovan.
that's all that i want to share today.
for every husbands, be extra good to your wives, especially when their pregnant, gives birth and after delivery. and don't abuse your wife physically or emotionally if she can't get pregnant.(don't blame her first for your infertility. even if your ego hate it, most of the infertility cases is because of the husband's health problem.)
for everybody in the world, be good to your mother. if your mother had passed away, pray for her.
